Church Decorating for Christmas

What We Did.
We helped decorate the Christmas tree at church with tinsel and snowflakes.

Why.
Because they needed help and it's lots of fun.

Water for Life

What We Did.
We have decided to raise money to help kids who do not have clean water to drink. We went online and became Life Today Ambassadors and are trying to raise $4800 to dig a well to help a whole village of people get fresh water.

Why.
Because they were dying because of the dirty water they drink everyday and we wanted to help.


Amount of Time
30 minutes to set up the page and now we're going to spend lots of time doing things to raise the money.


Fun Factor
5 stars.
We like helping and are having fun deciding how to raise money and plan to make crafts to sell and collect aluminum cans and some other stuff.

What We Did.
At church club we wrote notes to people who are sad because of bad things that have happened in their lives.

To make them feel a little better.

Smashed Cans for Recycling

What We Did.
Smashed aluminum cans for our church recycling fundraiser.

Why.
The cans were taking up lots of space in the church basement so we smashed them so they would take up alot less room. We'll take them to get recycled soon.

Amount of Time.
About 30 minutes after church.

Fun Factor.
4 stars.
We get to take turns using the sledge hammer to crush them!
Plus it helps the environment and our church.

Left Extra Coupons on Shelf at the Store

What We Did.
We had some extra coupons that would expire soon so we left them on the shelves by the items when we were at the grocery store.

Why.
To help someone save money because we weren't going to use the coupons anyway, and sometimes we had used coupons that other people left.

5 stars. It was real easy to do and it helps people.

Brushed our dogs that lose alot of fur.

They lose fur all over the house and then we have to vacumn all the time.

Bought a Gift for a Camp Friend


What I (Makenna) Did.
I bought a doll for my friend when she relly wanted it and didn't have enough money along at camp to buy it.
Why.
Because she is my new friend and I love her.

We were away at church camp for a week and there were no computers.
So now we have to catch up on our good deeds we did while away.

Recycle Plastic Bags

What We Did.
Saved plastic shopping bags and put them in the bag recycle bin where we go shopping.

Why.

It's better for the environment than just throwing them away and we get lots of bags each week because we eat lots of food.

Amount of Time.
5 minutes to put the bags in one bag and drop them in the recycling barrel at the store.

Fun Factor.
It's just saving bags, so it's not really fun, but it feels good to be helping the environment.

Muffins and Jam for our Neighbor

What We Did: .... We made muffins and blueberry jam and took them down to our 91 year old neighbor.

Why: .... He plays golf with us and we like to do give him goodies.


Amount of time: ....Since we had already made the muffins and jam, just 15 minutes to walk over and say hi.

Fun Factor: .....Five Stars. It's fun to give people stuff!

We like that they protect us and our country.

Four. Cutting is fun at first, but then our hands got sore.
